Why Empathia? Rather than selecting a name that attempts to describe what we do, we chose to emphasize who we are and our overall purpose. Empathia has Greek origins and refers to a deeper level of understanding. Our name speaks to the power of knowledge and caring human interactions to positively influence individuals and organizations.

Also, we appreciate the dual meaning in the word em-path-ia, one that conveys both the attribute of empathy and the vision of a "path", a way of caring and engagement that leads to improvement. Through our new name, we hope to convey a sense for who we are and how we conduct ourselves on behalf of the employers, employees and families that we serve.
