Become an Empathia Provider

Founded in 1982, Empathia is a free standing, full service, global provider of employee assistance programs (EAP), work/life services, workplace culture assessments and optimization and crisis management services, including responding to large-scale, disastrous events. Because our network needs fluctuate, applications will be considered based on experience, client volume and location.

EAP Affiliate Counselor

This role provides EAP services including clinical assessment and brief counseling. Minimum requirements include a Master’s degree in a behavioral health field, state licensure and 5 years of post-master’s experience. Special consideration will be given to applicants with more than 5 years of EAP experience, have obtained the Certified Employee Assistance Professionals (CEAP) credential, are EAPA members or have completed the EAS-C online program at www.eapassn.org.

Trainer

This role provides on-site training to promote employee wellbeing and support manager skills development. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and experience facilitating presentations in a professional environment. Knowledge of EAP services preferred.

Trauma Response Specialist

This provider deploys to client locations to provide support to those affected by a critical incident; offers individual and group debriefings as well as management consultation to normalize reactions and emphasize resiliency. Minimum requirements include a Master’s degree in a behavioral health field, state licensure and 5 years of post-master’s experience.

Crisis Response Call Center (CRCC) Specialist

In the immediate aftermath of a large-scale event, this telephonic-based role is performed virtually from your home or office using cloud and web-based tools. The Specialist processes inquiries provide updates, offers support and coordinates logistical assistance to those directly impacted as well to concerned family members. Successful completion of a 1.5-hour online training module followed by evaluation of role performance is required before becoming part of this network. Minimum requirements for this role include a Master’s degree in a human services field, licensed or certified with 5 years of crisis response experience.

Victim and Family Assistance Specialist

Representing the client organization, this role deploys to a designated Family Assistance Center in the incident area and serves as a primary point of contact for victims and families for approximately 3-7 days post incident. The Specialist provides information, support and logistical assistance to an assigned victim or family OR performs an operational role in support of Family Assistance Center operations. Staffing generally consists of 12-hour shifts per day. Minimum requirements for this role include a Master’s degree in a human services field, licensed or certified with 5 years of crisis response experience.
